MCR may suck in concert but that's not what matters, what matters is that there are tons of people out there that enjoy their music if you don't like it that's your problem. P.S. Green Day is amazing and they sound pretty much exacly the same in concert, and penny, Green Day are punk (Well, punk pop at least) and face it when it comes to music you know !***!.

I never said anything against their fans. That's a matter of opinion. The person who made this thread asked me what i thought about a band and I gave and honest answer.

Even if I went by your definition of punk. "a group of misfits", Green Day still wouldn't qualify as punk. They're all middle-aged men whose main songs rebell against a government, and whine about some girl. Sure they have other songs but they don't publicize those as much as they do the whining and rebelling ones. and they wear an inch of eyeliner under they're eyes like all the other pop-rock bands right now. So their not exactly "misfits".

And before you try to accuse me of being superficial. I only mentioned the eyeliner thing because i was trying to prove that their trend isn't that much different from other pop-rock bands. Frankly, I could care less about what they look like. I just don't think bands should be listed as punk because of that.

Also, I plan on getting a music major in colledge so I do know quite a bit about music. I study musicology and music theory. I know a good musician when I hear one.

Yes, I like older punk bands like The Ramones and The Blood Brothers.
