Me and a friend at school had an argument
Who is better, Paul Mcartney, or John Entwistle.

From a technical ability standpoint, the Who were above the Beatles, so John Entwhistle is - However Paul McCartney is the better song writer, so thats something to be more proud of - If you were going to look at them both as a whole, then Paul - but just for bass, its John

i wouldnt waste my time on those two pal beacause if ur looking for real bassist check out billy sheehan, or victor wooten, or even steve harris because in every maiden song you can clearly listen to the bass part
but to answer your question its definately John

Well the thing is other than Entwhistle on bass, the who were not very good at their insturments I give John Enwhistle a ton of respect for being able to play bass with keith moon`s out of control drumming, but, Paul McCartney really revolutionized rock `n` roll bass so it`s a tie, but i personally give the nod to Paul because im not a huge fan of the who
