Whenever one of you make a "best 10 songs ever" list, or "best 10 albums ever" list, or "best 10 artists ever" list...

You all seem to choose the best according to pop culture, not the best according to YOU - 1/2 of you who listed Led Zeppelin in the top 10 bands ever couldnt even spell Zeppelin right. Why dont you list YOUR fav. songs, YOUR fav. albums, and YOUR fav. artists for once?

These polls are pointless, because hardly any of you give YOUR opinion, you just reflect the opinion of culture & MTV. Get some f-ing individuality you losers. Proof im right is on every one of these lists.

Actually no I dont think more people put Maiden than Pearl Jam, but I didnt count - However considering Pearl Jam has been around about half as long as Maiden, & theres almost equal votes.. think about it

Hey Hunter since you like reading magazines to make opinions of who are the best bands, i read a list of the best 100 metal(of all Genres) bands of all time in the magazine Hit Parader it was funny but i found this

its funny because weve been arguing about this and you seem to read so much about bands and shiit that i just wanted to show you this. and Nirvana was in number 8 or something. Led Zepelin was number 1

By the way, I searched for that list on google.com, couldn`t find it

& a few other things. If that list *is* real, then Bon Jovi, Iron Maiden, & Nirvana still didnt come close to being number 1.. Pearl Jam was. Also, if that list exists, then its an opinion shared by a few editors at the magazine whereas USA Today got votes from their readers. So in terms of reflecting pop culture, mass opinion of thousands is going to hold more weight than opinions by 5 or 6 people at the magazine youre talking about.

sorry man i cant give you that link because it doesnt exist not even in hitparader.com(i looked for it) you have to buy the magazine for that but its an old issue by now, its a magazine a read in the house of the Drummer of my band while we were practicing. Maybe later on a can get you the volume number or month issue it was.

But i have more respect for the opinion of reviewers of a magazine that is well known for covering everything that has to do with rock/metal music and not just a bunch of Americans who voted for Pearl Jam because its their favorite band or because they are the band all their friends like, and not basing their decisions on their knowledge of music.
i ve played guitar for 8 years and bass as well and i can tell you musically pearl jam is awesome they are good and everything but Iron Maiden is better and Bon Jovi And Nirvana are pretty awesome too. Ill give you the fact that Bon Jovi`s lyrics could be better but they know how to arrange good instrumentation for their songs.

All the reviewers from hit parader are musicians themselves who actually know the bands and transcribe the songs of many artists into tablature with every single detail and they put them on the last pages of every issue.
