No one is interested in KISS anymore except people in their 50s & 40s. In 20 years KISS wont be remembered or talked about. Hell, they hardly are today.

Coming from a KISS fan whos fav. band is Iron Maiden, it's hard to take your opinion on music seriously.

coming from a grunge fan whos fav band is pearl jam and likes the killers, i dont mind you saying anything cause you really dont know !***! about music cause you base the greatness of a band in commercial exposure

Oh please... I base the greatness of a band on commercial exposure? I listen to more indie & underground bands in a week than you've listened to in your whole life.

You say it as if Iron Maiden is some unknown band.. as if PJ is commercial & they're not. Give me a break.

Most legendary artists have commercial music dude.

The Beatles did, Zeppelin did, the Rolling Stones do, Pink Floyd did, Bob Dylan does, and Pearl Jam does.

Whether or not their music is accessible is a matter of opinion still.. But the important thing is that Pearl Jam doesn't do Pepsi commercials, or GAP commercials. So who cares? As long as they don't sell out, that's all that matters.

i rather have a band that sells out image wise than music wise, if the essence of the song writing is kept then thats all that matters, still Maiden has not sold out in anyway, Maiden rocks.

note that im not saying pj are sell outs, im just saying

you guys wanna know something funny, seal nut was mocking kiss in this thread, and i found a list of 100 greatest solos in Guitar world(a pretty famous and respected magazine) and Alive was listed(the pj song), the thing is theres a quote by Mike McCready that the solo he wrote for Alive was copied of one of Ace Frehley's solos.

so keep mocking kiss seal nut, which clearly was a great influence for pj music.
