There have been many superb live bands down the years and I'm sure this will throw up plenty of debate.

For pure stage presence I am going for Queen

This is very hard. Mainly because there are lots of jam bands that had there best music live, like the Allman brothers and the Dead. As far as best goes, I can't really say. Most band from the 60's and 70's era had amazing live performances. One of my favorites is Pink Floyd, I think there lighting is amazing, but that doesn't mean they are the best. I am looking foward to the responses.

I think Queen too. Not much of an exciting explanation to go with it. I just think their stage performances are fun, the audience seems involved (going by the ones I know of... Live Killers, Wembley...) and it's cool how they can make their songs seem (a cool kind of) different when they perform them live.
I just love that band!
