I ask this question because I sometimes wonder if britney spears and vanilla ice and kevin federline are really enjoying this journey through this judgemental society/world?

everyone jumps on thee almighty band wagon and disses these people who have-like my man JESTER1 said:

"put their destiny in the angry, snobbish and robust hands of such a filthy minded world"

now you know I have said some rude and nasty things before...and got banned by some chick who rightfully reported me-that being said-I have laughed at all these people and so have you.

think about it and please be as honest and obnoxious as you possibly can.

ps: to all the people that I have offended...I luv you guys

Pop star =/= Rock star

And no, in the cases you stated I doubt they thought it was worth it. For some people it is their dream, so yes. It depends on what the media does with you and if you burn out or just grow old and famous. my example Britney Spears has had a horrible career, The Rolling Stones did not.

I would love to be a rock star. But not mainstream. Anyone who's mainstream will be in the newspapers everyday. I'm talking about that kind of fame where your fans aren't just those following trends. Fasns who actually appreciate the music and the tallent and aren't judgmental about stupid things like the image of the band or thier lifestyle. Too many people are blasted by the media just because they choose to take drugs or dress weird. But if I was a rockstar I wouldn't let it get me down, because I know I'd still have the true fans.

you know even if an artist thinks that they are out of the "media eye"-they actually can never be.
I was on another site and we were chatting about axl rose and everyone was dissing this dude so hard man, I mean the dude hasn't said much in a while yet he is still called a prick.
its quite harsh out there.
it is also the internet that keeps fresh records of an artists ugly pic or dumb statement around forever.
they can never get away from it, never.
obviously if it is a dream they look past the reality of society's judgements.
plus if you make it mainstream then you've "made it" as they would say and you get paid, get bored, do something stupid and get dissed around the world by people that are too chicken !****! to try anything.

what about josh Homme or Anthony Keidis? Those guys are in two of the worlds biggest bands at the moment and I've never heard a bad thing about them.

And plus, Axl Rose deserves whatever he gets. No explanation needed, he just does lol. Rockstars have tallent but he doesn't so I see no reason why he's still famous for being in a band that broke up over ten years ago (don't start saying G'n'R are still going because they aren't - until they finally manage to make that Chinese Democracy album they are just a sad rehash).

yup I agree with all that say axl is an xyz-I mean he used to beef with kurt cobain!
but Josh Homme aint no saint bro...

"In 2004, Homme was involved in a scuffle with Dwarves frontman Blag Dahlia at an L.A. club. Homme taunted Dahlia, poured beer on his head and struck him with the empty bottle. Homme was ordered to remain at least 100 yards away from Dahlia and the club, was sentenced to 3 years probation with community service, and was forced to enter a rehab program for 60 days."

he then said: "I learned nothing through anger management."

Kiedis is a follower of Kabbalah and a former drug addict.

this is not a shot at you its just facts from wikipedia (under personal life)
it's not major news yet britney's a screw up because they took pics of her at a gas station.

everyone knows keidis is a recovered addict, that makes him even better. He didn't give up on life and made it through to the other side of drug abuse. Josh Homme just goes to show you can still be a badass rock star. He's not scared to do stuff, and anyway what he did was cool. Unlike pop stars like Britney who just go insane and cry. I'd much rather be a fan of Homme, who gets into fights than someone like Michael Jackson, who is basically just wrong lol. Nothing against MJ's music, I love listening to Billie Jean. That was just an example.

Axel Rose was a prick, he ruined his image all on his own.

i like MJ too!
can you believe that?
and yes axl needs something large stuffed up his xyz without any axl grease!

back to the question...

I think that superstardom has gotten way the hell-outta-hand with the paparazzi invading a person's life, I think there should be laws that stop stuff like that-it's nasty...like I used to be!
ROCK N ROLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!
