Hey, out of curiosity, who do you think has the strongest southern rock vocals? I’ve been digging through my music and I think at the top of my list would be Gig Michaels of Swampdawamp. He’s got the grit, ya know? You can listen to them on myspace.
Who’s your pick?

you mean southern rock? Well, I've been a Lynyrd Skynyrd fan for years and love Ronnie Van Zants voice. I can't stop singing along to 'Simple Man' or 'Tuesdays gone' whenever I hear them. But the only modern band I know from that part of America is Black Stone Cherry. Their vocalist is also pretty good compared to most modern, whiney singers.
