it is really hard to select 10 songs to be the best rock songs of all time. I think most people did a pretty good job ... but in seven pages of top 10`s not one person had Creep by Radiohead ... Creep is one of the best all time rock anthems. Also if you don`t pick at least one ACDC song in your top ten you should be shot ! No one had cats in the craddle either ... pretty sad

1. AC/DC - TNT (it got me into the entire genre when i was a kid)
2. Disturbed - The Sickness (My favorite band, and this is my favorite song by them)
3. Slipknot - Duality (Not a huge fan, but i can`t stop listening to this song)
4. Stone Sours - Bother AND claptons song about his son (cant remember name ATM), Both songs just really tap into my soul.
5. Kill Switch Engage - Fixation on the darkness (im sure a lot of people havent heard of them, but this song is freakin awesome, I`d almost place it up higher).
6. Sevendust - Praise (one of the greatest bands ever, and probably my most favorite songs of theirs)
7. Sammy Haggar - Heavy Metal (this song rocks on so many levels, haggar is/was/always will be better than dave).
8. Metallica - Dyers Eve ( I ALMOST FORGOT!!!, this is there best song, all these people picking crap off of black album, pfft, NOOBS!, listen to this song b4 you go to work and you`ll be set for the night)
9. Pantera - Walk & This love (another i almost forgot, how can ppl not be picking either of these 2, jeez, some of you are still stuck to the geezer music.)
10. Linkin Park - One Step Closer (got so overplayed, but i still love the song...deal with it)

Its hard to make a list of only ten songs. so much gets left out...

1. Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen)-an original, brilliant song by the most musically talented band of all time.

2. Stairway to Heaven (Led Zeppelin)-a close second, this one could very easily be first on my list.

3. Thunderstruck (AC/DC)-It`s hard to choose just one from AC/DC but this is my choice because of the opening riff...its awesome.

4. Hotel California (The Eagles)-Great song, by a great band.

5. Mary Jane`s Last Dance (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers)-How can anyone have a list without Tom Petty??

6. The Unforgiven (Metallica)-in my opinion, this is their best work. They also have a lot more that could be on this list.

7. Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd)-Again, no list is complete without Pink Floyd.

8. Sultans of Swing (Dire Straits)-I love this song, its so much fun to listen to. The interesting little guitar riffs, etc.

9. Proud Mary (Creedence Clearwater Revival)-another band with so many great songs...this just happens to be my personal favorite. Gotta give some love to CCR, one of the most rythmic, listenable bands ever.

10. Yesterday (The Beatles)-Great band, great sound...who can argue with The Beatles?

Well, there`s my list. There is about 30 more songs I could put into my top ten. I tried to keep it to one song per band to spread out the love. Obviously I could put about 15 songs from Queen, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Metallica, and Tom Petty in that list.

And please, no more list with Linkin Park, Disturbed or any of this CRAP on it. Calling that stuff great "rock" songs is an insult to all these great musicians on my list. I mean, how do you even compare Jimmy Paige, Brian May, Angus Young, James Hetfield, Kirk Hammet, Tom Petty to these low talent, unoriginal bastards??

Stairway To Heaven, if anyone makes a parody of that song, i`ll be angry
Bohemian Rhapsody, best Queen song because its not egotistical and its awesome
Enter Sandman, one of the greatest metal songs ever
Immigrant Song, i know people who hate rock and they love this song
Back In Black, what can i say, its freakin awesome
Holier Than Thou, i like how the chorus goes together with the beat really well in this metallica song
Iron Man, i`d make a movie from this song
Smells Like Teen Spirit, important, cool, and great
Let It Be, i love this song, beatles kick ass
The Wall, i like this song, it has everything that is cool, i also like it cause one of my dads friends cousin in the bassist for Pink Floyd
Nothing Else Matters, tight
