did VU ever record this song, i have looked on kazaa, and it shows tommy james and the shondells and VU..... yet both sound exactly the same, whats the deal with this? any other info?

I`m pretty sure its all Tommy James. I`ve gotten a Simon & Garfunkel, VU, and Tommy James edition and they`re all the same. The only official release of the song I can find was James.
