unfortunately I don`t have sound clip so I can only describe what I hear. This is a lyrical piece for solo violin and orchestra (?string orchestra, don`t hear other instruments besides strings). maybe allegretto tempo, in 3. capital letter is quarter or half note, lower case is eighth note, carrot indicates a tied note. the melody is this (E major): G# f# e d# e | f# c# F#^|^f# e d# c# d# e | e b## E^|e b c# b a g# |c# e# F#^|f# e f# e d# c# | b## f# B (scale leading back up to a repeat of this phrase) lots of flourishes and virtuosic writing for the violin. Reminds me of the Dvorak romance, or something from that stylistic period. I consider myself very familiar with violin repertoire, but this one has me stumped. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
