Sheet Music will only get you so far. I am currently studing music at the college level. Here are a few Books I would recommend:
Flute Music by French Composers - Edited by Louis Moyse
Flute Workout - Stallman
Developing SIght Reading - Dufresne (A trumpet book, but good!)
Flute Etudes Book- Clardy

I think u should get an exam syllabus and there r lists of different books with the grades next 2 them. Then u can get the standard u need

I suggest you start building up your repertoire of major solo`s.
Mozart and Bach`s Flute Concertos, Teleman`s Sonata, etc
|
