I just started playing french horn, and i do not understand anything about. I play sax, but my teacher said i should try the horn, so i am. how to i make my sound go higher or lower??

I've been playing horn for a few years now. but before that i played trumpet and believe me, i feel your pain. Horn is probably the hardest instrument in orchestra. Well, are you talking about changing the pitches with your hand, like in the bell? because normaly I use that for tuning. Like if your sharp and you cant pull your slides out anymore move your hand in. That sort of thing.. but if your just talking about changing notes in general then basicly blow harder. lol Good luck,
