Debussy doesn`t DO depressing. Some of Chopin`s preludes are melancholy and gloomy or passionately despaired. Among these include no. 4, 20 and the UNfamous Op. 45 prelude - excuse my bad grammar

Anything by Richard Strauss, especially the "Enlightenment" or "Einletung" which you may know as the theme from "A Space Odyssey"

yes anything by richard strauss is very well quite depressing, possibly one of the (my) worst composers. radesky march and blue danube are just the end of the end (!)

Definitely Chopin`s funeral march, which is Op. 35, sonata in Bb minor.

funeral march by chopin also exists as a piece on its own. it`s in a book called `klavierstucke` - includes pieces by Chopin like Album Leaf, Berceuse, Barcarolle, Fugue..
