Beethoven`s Sonata Opus 27 No. 2 "Moonlight" was composed before he was deaf. If I`m not mistaken, he wrote it for one of his lovers (whom he failed to marry). Hope this helps!

She was his lover, there are many pictures of her in Beethoven books, Moonlight sonata was made in 1801 the are 3 movements, the third is the best(my opinion)

I don`t think he was only fully deaf during his 9th symphony...I`m not sure though.
