you wanna be a conductor? well if u do, good luck! by the way it seems pretty hard cuz mai orchestra teacher taught us a few moves. He has a cool baton thingy that he uses. lol

yes...most conductors use batons...

um you might want to take a class at a college on conducting. there really is more that just waving a stick around and keeping a steady tempo. you basically have to control the dynamics of the piece and the musicality of it. this would require lots of musical background and an idea as to how you want to interpret it...

yeah and you have to be able to read scores. i tried it once and finished reading the score and the piece was only half way through.

anyways you also need to know when to cue people in before they get lost and sections end up playing different part of the song.

and if u think sight reading is hard, it`s even harder for the conductor. he has to read like 20 lines at once and give cues to people even though it`s his first time reading the score. yea conducting is a pretty difficult job.

My sight reading is very impressive, I am not worried about this. Yet I don`t know what BATON is. Anyone are pro at this??? thx thx!!!

L shape for four four, diamond for three four, up down for cut or two four or six eight. you can do what ever you want as long as there is a down beat and an up beat.
