Chorale - Musical Definition
Chorale - A chorale is a melody to which a hymn is sung by a congregation in a German Protestant Church service. Typically the harmonization of the chorale is in four-parts, with the sopranos (and the congregation) singing the melody. Bach wrote many of the most famous chorale settings.
