Leave it to Beethoven to offer a cute little number for trumpet players. Actually Beethoven wrote this vocal composition in honor of one of his friends and it represents the clicking of a metronome which was invented by this same person.
The use of this short yet interesting piece could be for a young students reading assignment, or an exercise in ensemble playing, or a fine study for improving a student’s concentration, or a short introduction to a musical program, or a fanfare for a wedding, or……..
Everything in this composition has been meticulously preserved with the exceptions of the key, dynamic, articulation, crescendi, decrescendi, and the added measure at the end. Other than those slight changes, it remains as true to Beethoven as I am able to cope with.
One advantage of this piece is the fact it can be player by one to four people. Another advantage is the fact that it is offered FREE.
