This is a musical piece based on a traditional chorus we sang at church in Bogotá, Colombia, in the late 80’s. The “Song of Rejoicing” is the Old Testament song the Israelites sang after they had crossed the Red Sea on dry land. It is dedicated to my eldest daughter, Aimée, who was born in Colombia. She is currently a senior at West Mesa High School in Albuquerque, NM.
