This song was written for the girl that I love. I've written many songs for her taking different perspectives of her and different aspects of our relationship. In this song I'm viewing her From a Distance as I see her before she recognizes me. This used to happen a lot so I used to have a lot of time to kind of just watch and feel, then later I would write depending on what I remember from what I felt when I watched her.
