EJ was born on December 9th, 1985. Mr and Mrs Luna knew instantly that he had an ear for music since the day he was born. His drumming became known at the age of 2 banging on pots and pans. His parents then bought him a small drum set at the age of 4 to save their home from EJ`s destructive hands.
Throughout his years in elementary school he performed solos in countless talent shows. At that time he became known as a great drummer at his age. At 12 years old he grew into a stronger musician following the steps of Mike Portnoy (drummer of Dream Theater). He joined his first band in his freshman year of high school playing covers from Metallica to Ozzy. At the age of 18 he started to work his way into a much larger drum kit and also picked up new styles and technique from Benny Greb, Marco Minnimann, Terry Bozzio and more. He also created the band Eternal Essence (a progressive rock band based in Atlantic City NJ, USA) with the help of his friends Greg Rosenblit, Josh Samlin, and Gary Hoffman.
After 6 years of his musical journey with Eternal Essence he decided to take a break for a year to expand his talent. In 2010 he joined a Christian Rock band called Hope Kills Fear with former vocalist of Canderia, Carly Coma, Joe Fozio on Bass, Julio Arias on rhythm guitar, and Steve Richards on Lead Guitar. He is also working on clinics with bassist virtuoso and good friend Rob Smith. He reunited with Eternal Essence in the beginning of 2011 to go at the Progressive Rock scene once again.
