I am an advanced high school flutist, seriously considering majoring in music in college; I have done fairly well career-wise so far, participating in all the regional and state orchestras/bands and have played at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln center multiple times.
All in all, though, I am just a teenager who loves music, and whose life is centered around music and school, so anything I can learn about music is greatly appreciated.
As Oscar Wilde said, "Music is that which cannot remain silent and which cannot be put into words." It is the universal language that all cultures connect to, and one of the main emotional ties between people and countries because of its ability to heal, connect, and change the lives of people who choose to listen.
