I always wanted to play the violin and after years of procrastinating...at age 35...finally started. I must say I LOVE it.
I have a FANTASTIC teacher...Elena Peres of the ABC Violin Academy in Flanders NJ.
Let me tell you; I am extremely grateful to have her guide me through all this learning and push me through the occasional frustration.
She has a edge on the performance part. Everyone should play to perform; to share. After ducking out on 2 concerts already...I was finally was coerced into partaking in one (within a group).
I was comfortable with the pieces being played with 3 other violin lovers.
Today was the concert.
The natural anxiety of performing was quite an experience I hope to become more comfortable with.
Will I do it again?...Yes, I will absolutely do it again. You learn from EVERYTHING, right!?
