I guess I`m what might be called a lapsed musician. I played piano and sang a lot as a child and teenager, but I`ve done very little of either for years, although I never lost my passion for music. I wrote an instrumental piece almost 20 years ago and intended to do more writing, but I never did. Now I really want to get back into singing and playing, and I also hope to write more music.

I am divorced but on friendly terms with my ex. In fact, we`ve recently started to work on playing and singing some stuff together. (He sings, plays guitar,and writes songs.) I have a son (almost 30) and a daughter (13). I have two cats who are brother and sister, but I`m not sure how old they are. ;-)

I have lived in Houston, Texas, all my life. I was fortunate enough to visit England for a few days about 20 years ago. I absolutely loved it -- I`d love to go back for a longer stay if I ever have enough money!

I`m looking forward to meeting and learning from other people who love music.

Music (of course!)-- I like to listen to just about every genre of music from almost every era. I have played piano, mountain dulcimer, and just a little bit of mandolin. I love singing, especially harmony.

Film -- I especially like good documentaries.

Reading -- non-fiction and classics are my favorites.

I enjoy embroidering, and I`m starting to get into beading (jewelry making).
