Despite being one of the most famous theme tunes of all time, the Laurel and Hardy theme tune is actually quite
a strange musical beast. The two clarinets play in two totally different keys (the solo if F major, the accompaniment in Bb minor)
in a technique known to modern composers as Polytonality. That's what helps give it such a successful odd-ball effect!
