TRANSLATION
In the prison in London
There was a prisoner.
No one came to see him
But the jailer's daughter.
"Tell me, my beauty,
If I am going to die tomorrow.
"Since I am going to die tomorrow,
Untie my feet."
When his feet were untied
He jumped into the sea.
On the first plunge
He nearly drowned.
On the second plunge
He crossed the sea.
When he landed on his own shores
He burst out singing.
"If I ever go back there
I'll marry her!"
