When bold King Edward ruled the land
He ruled it like a king.
And he turned his three sons out of doors

The miller he staw meal

To keep those three rogues warm.

The miller was drowned in his dam
The weaver was hung wi' his yarn
And the deil ran awa' wi' the little tailor boy
Wi' his broadcloth under his arm.
