Important composer from the Baroque period who became a British citizen in 1726. He wrote many operas and oratorios, including the popular Messiah.

HWV 419 1-6 are six marches. They are known only from printed sources; were published as separate treble and bass parts; with instrumentation unspecified, though title pages mention flute and violin for treble parts. May have originated as a keyboard work.
