It reminds me of the final remaining fingering confusion I had when doubling on sax and clarinet. Although fingering on both of them is basically similar to flute, there is one standard fingering which is C on the clarinet, but C# on the sax.

That's never bothered me. But, I consider that to be an alternate C fingering on the clarinet. I usually use the one that's the essentially the same as the sax with the RH pinky.

The one that DOES bother me is the reversal of the C/Eb RH pinky finger between oboe and sax. I find that confusing.
