i`ve been playing flute for 6 years.. we don`t have chairs in our high school band.. but when i was in middle school i was first chair. i also play piccolo.. well this was my first season playing it

I do not know about you, but do you get the feeling that all people send messages here for always include some kind of brag. I think, that since no one really knows these people, they think they can get away with lying! Frankly, it would be compared to me saying that I knew how to speak French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, German, Latin, Greek, and English, when really I can only speak Italian, Latin, Japanese, Spanish, French, and English. Ypu know what I mean? Oy....

"do u pull in or push out (te head that is) when your flute is flat"

You already know that the more fingers you take off, the higher the flute plays.

Therefore, the shorter the tube is, the sharper the note gets.

Therefore you push the tube in shorter to make it sound higher.

Woowee! Gotta love that Halo. But, I have to say, I am the best when it comes to Halo 2 Multiplayer.....but not THE best. There are people who are much better than me, but, who cares? I`m still good and I love to play. All i can say. See yah folks.

u ppl all seem so lucky, Im a flautist from Gibraltar, Im 18 and I`ve been playing flute for abt 4 years. since Gibraltar is such a small place (Full of Imbeciles, or however u wanna spell it) there isn`t much interest for the arts, we dont have orchestras, and the most I`ve seen is small ensambles (Which I hope to join someday) its my dream to be part of an orchestra, and hopefully I will when I go to college.
