My computer won`t cooperate with the tunning on 8 notes....so i was wondering if anyone knew what A we tune to. (For instance cellos usually tune to a 440 A)

440 fiddlesticks!
440 refers to the frequency of the note, which varies from octave to octave, and the A that is 440 is the one right after middle C, whereas the one used to tune the guitar is 2 octaves below middle A, not 440 as far as I know.
