Stairway To Heaven - Led Zeppelin
(Should be self explanatory. The pinnacle of songwriting and guitar work.)
Layla - Derek & The Dominos
(Layla & OALS is actually my pick for greatest album of all time. You can hear the pain in Clapton`s voice, and his guitar work with Duane Allman is unforgetable.)
Like A Rolling Stone - Bob Dylan
(This song truely did change the music industry.)
A Day In The Life - The Beatles
Tears In Heaven - Eric Clapton
(Easily the best song of the 90`s)
All Along The Watchtower - The Jimi Hendrix Experience
(A cover song that actually improves upon the original. So much so that Dylan has started playing the Hendrix version in his own shows.)
Hotel California - The Eagles
Imagine - John Lennon
Born To Run - Bruce Springsteen
Crash Into Me - Dave Matthews Band
(DMB is the best band still playing together and the only band doing anything original anymore.)

10. Lionel Richie - Dancin` on the Ceiling
9. Genesis - Invisible Touch
8. Chicago- Hard to say I`m sorry
7. Smashmouth - All-Star
6. Winger - 17
5. Michael Jackson - Thriller
4. George Thoroughgood - Bad to the Bone
3. Joe Satriani- Big Bad Moon
2. Warrant - Heaven
1. Children of Bodom - Follow the Reaper.
Now that is the Top 10 of all top 10. Stairway to Heaven is over-rated and the words make no sense unless you are doped up.
"There`s a lady who`s sure all that glitters is gold "
OH YEAH, THAT MAKES SENSE, BUT WAIT......
"If there`s a bustle in your hedgerow, don`t be alarmed now, "
ANYONE THAT SAYS THIS SONG HAS MEANINGFUL WORDS IS FULL OF CRAP AND SHOULD BE EVALUATED. IT IS A GREAT SOUNDING SONG, BUT PROBABLY ONE OF THE WORST WRITTEN SONGS OF ANY GENRE.
Peace out my homies

for the most part i agree wt all the songs. (sorry man, not dancing on the ceiling.)
but can someone tell me why all the younger guys are into; led zep, ac/dc and ozzy. i mean they were my favs 20+ yrs ago. are u guys telling me, nothing from ur decade is of value to u, the way these songs moved us?
(yea, there were some exceptions.) im mostly asking the under 20 crowd.
and unless im wrong, nirvana broke around 15 yrs ago.

The greatest Rach song is obviously Rachmaninoff`s 3rd Piano Concerto. But people, Rach`s music are pieces, not songs. Songs are SUNG. If you are going to list SONGS than say so.
By the way, you spelled Rach wrong.....
