Ok, alright, I`ll tell you, Chris. "Hey Jude" is a rock and roll song because it is a song by a rock and roll band. Rock and roll doesn`t have to be loud or obscene, it just has to be... Well, whatever your strict definition of rock and roll is, and the Beatles definately fall under that category, no dispute, no matter what.
Just like "Goin` to California" by Led Zeppelin is a rock song, but it has no electricity or drums, just guitar, madolin, and Mr. Plants awesome vocals.
